point 2 and 3 contradict each other. how would it be hard to get 200reps and the greater increase in rep4rep means it won't be hard to get 200 reps.
I know this approach won't stop the scams altogether but it is less likely for a member with 3-6 months activity to scam than it is for someone who just joined a couple days ago (the latter will have nothing to else whilst the guy spending 6 months will risk losing his account and all the reputation he had built) Also, I've seen people with 4 day old accounts starting shops all selling Claude/Gemini/GPT for $100+ amounts. that will limit the number of fake sellers and increase the competition between different sellers regarding price and legitimacy |
