Hi everyone. Seeing that we are always looking for good high-yield accounts to get some return on our savings without locking the money or losing value, I wanted to open this thread to share what I think is the best alternative right now in Europe.
I was looking around the other day and the best option I found is Robinhood Europe (US broker, but they give you a Luxembourg IBAN, LU). It gives you a 5% APY paid monthly (it's unknown how long they will keep this exact rate).
It is a mix of two things:
  • 1.98% from a very conservative money market fund managed by JP Morgan (the "JPMorgan EUR Liquidity LVNAV Fund").
  • 3.02% promotional bonus from Robinhood itself.
You have to manually opt-in to get the 5%. It took a couple of days for me to see the first interest, but after that, it accumulates daily (and it's paid out at the end of the month). Keep in mind that the number doesn't update during the weekends, but don't worry, on Monday they add everything generated over the weekend all at once.
The maximum limit for this yield is €22,000 (which is the maximum covered by the Lithuanian investor compensation scheme, since it is not a traditional bank deposit).
Honestly, it's the best thing I've seen to get some return on uninvested cash right now. I'll leave my link here in case you want to take advantage of that 5%: https://join.robinhood.com/eu_crypto/manelg-9d2f45c/
With my link, you get €50 in crypto (you can sell it whenever you want). You just need to deposit €50 and another €50 will be added automatically. To withdraw this €50 promotional bonus to your bank account, 180 days must pass from the day you received it.
